STUN GRENADE

All of the standard stun and diversion, distraction grenades manufactured byPrecision
Ordnance Products, Inc.are “Third Generation” devices.

First generation stun grenades had a fuze and cardboard body. The pin was pulled and the grenade
thrown, however the fuze became a potentially lethal fragment. A number of people were
seriously injured and maimed by first generation devices.

The second generation devices were designed with an ejection charge that popped the fuze
out of the grenade 1/2 seconds ahead of detonation. Due to the design, again, many people were
injured and maimed.

The third generation grenades utilized by Precision Ordnance Products, Inc. is designed
around the concept of an ejecting sub munition. When the grenade is thrown, a soft cardboard
sub-munition ejects from the main body and explodes away from the metal fuze.

The third generation design is incorporated in the T-429, T-459, T-470, T-471 stun
grenades and in the D-450 and D-451 diversion distraction grenades.

The T-429 is a full stun grenade and produces 5 psi, 175 decibels of sound and 2,000,000
candle power at 7 feet. All of our devices have a nominal 1-second delay so that the bad guy does
not have time to pick up the munition and throw it back to you.
